Nexus 7 (2013) Android 5.0.1 bug reports here.

Google Play app doesn't play the short advertising info when looking at game or app. Google Play will work correctly if I go to it with my browser. Crazy, never happened before the 5.01.

Update to 5.0.1 went ok, then after 2 days just get a Black Screen. Now won't boot up...now got an 18 month old Brick....

The only bug I am seeing is with the Lollipop keyboard. It is way too sensitive and I get repeating characters many times. Too many to deal with so I switched to Swiftkey. Had the same problem with 5.0 as well. Other than that this thing rocks.

This update has been disastrous.

1) Keyboard sometimes fails to appear, or takes minutes to load.
2) Applications close randomly, sometimes halfway through typing, deleting whatever message was there.
3) Facebook messenger faces disappear from the screen.
4) Chrome keeps closing and re-opening, forcing it to reload tabs.
5) The tablet has lost its snappiness. It now feels sluggish.

I think it's also worth mentioning that I miss the retro feel of the spectrum flash when the screen turned off, and the new blue wallpaper isn't nearly as nice as the old one and I'd like to have the option to change back in my defaults.

A consistent problem in Android has been that it sometimes forgets to load the sign in page of a public wifi, like at Starbucks. Clearing the Chrome cache solved the issue, and this has been made much easier through the apps menu in this update, but the issue itself still hasn't been resolved.

When can we expect a patch?

First, let me say that I had absolutely no issues with KitKat (4.4.4) on my N7 2013.
Since applying the OTA for 5.0.1 I now have terrible battery life. After a typical days use with Kitkat I usually had 80% battery left. Now with the same usage I have about 60% left. It also is slightly slower (apps take just a second or so longer to open).
I first tried wiping the system cache and that didn't help. I then did a full reset and that also didn't help.

I kind of wish I was still on Kitkat. I just don't see any appreciable advantage of Lollipop on this tablet (stays at home so I don't have any security enabled). I am looking forward to the new security options when Lollipop is pushed out for the Moto X. Hopefully it will not screw up the battery life on the Moto X.

Did a fresh install of 5.0.1 yesterday using the Nexus Root Toolkit. I backed up my apps & data first using MyBackup Root and then restored them into Lollipop. No problems so far after a day of use. Battery is still at 95% after 24 hrs of light use. GPS is fine. Wifi is fine.

Got the update last week. My nexus 7.1 keeps getting into a weird state where the only option to recover is to power down.

Intermittently, when exiting an application, I'll have a single back button come up on a black screen. Pressing the button does nothing. I can swipe down the top bar to get to the...announcements (or whatever the detail is for all the icons on the top bar) but selecting any of them takes me nowhere. I try to access the settings gear and that, too, takes me nowhere. The only option I have is to reboot.

Not liking 5.0.1 so far.

Every time I turn my tablet on from sleep mode -- that is log on with a password -- I always get "Complete action using Nexus Camera" that I have to close. Anybody else experience this?

How about the constant reboot issue while on KitKat? Is that gone too? So far my reboot issue is "fixed". Haven't had any since the first day of Lollipop.

No reboots on Lollipop. To those experiencing various issues I would suggest doing a factory reset and system cache clear, both of which are recommended anytime you do a major OS upgrade.

Sorry scipper77 if I am in the wrong place. This is mys first time I came here, this is my first post.
I have a Google Asus Nexus 7 with 5.0.1 system, after updating 4.4.4 kitkat to 5.0.1 system, some of my games don't have background music.
They are: Monsters Legends, Little Farm-Happy Times, Mini Pets, others don't even open up, although I uninstalled and re-installed many times.
I am sure, this is a 5.0.1 issue, because I never had any problem with my games before.
Any help, I do appreciate. Thanks in advance.

My tablet is responding very slow. The more I use it the slower it gets. I have to reboot it to get it to prove. Is this a bug?

Yeah I have to reboot mine at least every 3 days or it becomes unusable, battery life is significantly worse now also.

(1) Wi-Fi drops out frequently. (2) Battery life not as good. (3) Keyboard takes up half the screen.
That's all I've noticed, so far!

My battery life is better than before, even when connected to weak signal. What keyboard are you using? I have been using Swiftkey on all my devices for years, and never have this problem.
