I noticed this happened once I tried to boot in recovery mode to try to clear the cache and fix the little lag I was experiencing. The recovery mode was unsuccessful because it just turned off, so I was able to clear the cache. However, I removed the guest account profile and the lag issue was gone.

But now, without heavy use, the rear, right on top of the speaker slot gets pretty hot. Which I can't remember it ever doing. I've had the N7 for months now. Anyone experiencing this and possibly know a solution?

I did a hard reset last night and now noticed the back getting noticeably hotter. No solution yet, you are not alone. I might do a factory reset and see what happens.

It's best to just cooperate and not fight it. You should stop charging and using it. If you're really worried, you can charge it via USB. I apologize for not having a solution.

Sometime mine does. Just depending on what I do. Like if I play any game for 3-7 minutes it gets hot. I just stop using it for awhile. Also when I install custom Roms it does it as well. I believe its just the processor running.
