Nexus 7 gets stutters and screen tearing

Hey, since being on lollipop, my nexus 7 every now and then the tablet gets very slow, there's screen tearing and it's like the frame rate of all the animations, scrolling in apps etc runs at like 10fps. Happens probabaly once a day and the only way to fix it is to reboot the device. Wondering if anyone is having this issues.
Here's a video if people are unsure what screen tearing is. Makes the device unusable imo.

Hey so finally can post links. Here's a video of screen tearing on nexus 4. This happens almost once a day on my nexus 7. Wonder if it's a issue of the memory leak in lollipop.

Weird--I've never seen that on mine. Did you try the cache partition wipe?

Just did that now. Couldn't figure out how to get into recovery yesterday. Managed right now somehow. Will update in a day or 2 times and let people know if it worked or not. Hopefully it has because it's really annoying.

So update. Even after clearing cache and being on the latest 5.1.1 update the screen tearing still exist. For a while I thought either the clearing cache or 5.1.1 had fixed it but it didn't. I'm Wondering if it could be a hardware issue rather than software.
