Nexus 7 keeps rebooting into safe mode

Hi please help my nexus has just started rebooting into safe mode if I press an app or rotate the device it reboots, if I turn the device off it just restarts in safe mode, it's not rooted and its only got the usual apps downloaded from the google play store.
