NEXUS 7 killing wifi for everyone in house!

The factory reset was a mistake because now its downloading all my apps on the terrible speeds and it is taking forever.

I posted this to a similar post as this earlier. Dont know if it will help but it may be a good alternative to run your Nexus from.

Several years ago I purchased one of those thrustmaster wifi keys that are designed to plug into one of your PC's USB ports, so my PS3 could connect to the net. It creates a wifi hotspot. I was very pleased to discover that the nexus 7 connects to it also and gets pretty decent download speeds (depending on your carrier I suppose). It does make my PC download things alot slower when its pulling alot of bandwith but it never has caused anything thats connected to it to be booted.

Worth a shot I guess. Heck I paid like 20 dollars for mine and ive seen em cheaper online so its a pretty cheap fix Hope this helps!!!
 
same problem solved by changing the router settings to off under the wifi protected setup. this still provides security and you will still have to enter a password to connect . all this does is deactivate the push button feature on the router to connect a device for the first time.
