Nexus 7 will lead Android tablets to overtake the iPad

Most of those are subjective as well. While I agree with most of them, some find it easier to do on an iPad (or other non-Android device). Faster browsing for example, some sites load quickly on the iPad, and vice versa. I can tether a phone to my iPad too.

BTW, would love to see a pic of the car dock. I was thinking about doing the same thing with my unused PlayBook.

FWIW, my iPad (bought a couple months after it was announced) is slow as dirty; Safari and Chrome crash frequently if there's ~3 tabs open, and launching some apps take a day or so.

What really peaved me about the iPad 2 was the fact that a bunch of apps I bought become completely obsolete. Infinity Blade is one of them. Heck, I have a Crossword app (Across Lite) that gives me "low memory" warnings every 5 inputs.

As much grief as we give Android for fragmentation, I'd rather not be rendered obsolete so quickly. But I guess that's a fact of life everywhere...

(Unless you're a Nexus? :p)

So an Android tablet works for you, doesn't mean that its he be all/end all of tablets for the rest of the world. Its great you can do all that. My iPad does everything I need it to do as well, besides the portability. That's why I have an N7.

Oh btw- iTunes plays my pirated music just fine.

Didn't say it was. That was a reply to the question of what can you do on your Nexus that you can't do on an iPad.

I understand, and I'm saying your little list there is subjective.

Browsing on any iPad beyond the first one is as fast as any other tablet I've used, including this N7, which happens to load the main forum page Painfully slow.

Haven'tried AC with the IPad. Side by side with an iPad 3 my N7 loaded about 80 percent of the pages I tried faster and seems to go to any link I clicked on faster.

Let me add that Apple didn't create the tablet. It existed before. Actually if you go to Newton Apple was early but..the issue is that computer hardware had to become affordable at that scale. If anything smart phones created the market and held the place as they improved. Now tablets are capable of outpowering laptops of a few years ago.

You might say Star Trek created the tablet, but I can't be sure of it's fictional origins.

I think you may be giving the Apple Newton too much credit by calling it a tablet. It was actually a PDA. Although the PDA was a precursor to the tablet, they are not one and the same. I thing a better anology maybe just as a scooter eventually evolved into the motorcylce, the PDA eventually evolved into the tablet.

The UMPC invented the tablet is that is even possible. You guys are aware your arguing over a form factor as if it is a device. That is like saying someone invented widescreen. That is what is so absurd about these apple lawsuits that are actually getting the court to observe these new form factors as real inventions well they are not. They are just new smaller ways of putting the same stuff together. There maybe hundreds of ways to cook an egg but it will still be an egg.

So apparently youth approval for Apple is in a downward spiral, while staying steady/mildly increasing. Looks like the kids are starting to grow up and now they have to find some new gullible customers.

Apple. The Jitterbug of smartphones.

I love how it says, three separate times, that the brand had decreased "slightly" or "a bit" with 18-34 year olds in the past 4 years and you have translated that into "a downward spiral". Careful, you might be laying it on a little thick.

From 50 in 2010 to 30 now. That's almost 50%.
