Nexus and Galaxy Tab 7.7

I have a Galaxy nexus and a Galaxy tab 7.7. The galaxy tab 7.7 was bought off contract for wifi only. If i pull the 4g sim out of my nexus, can I use that for data on the galaxy tab??
