Nexus coming to Verizon?

All I gotta say is, They better get it. So far it looks like they will.

Even if they do I'm not sure I will bother. So frustrated with my Gnex and the way it has been handled by VZW I may just switch to AT&T.

Service here is about the same. In fact I think VZW exaggerates their coverage here, Tulsa, as rarely have any signal when I'm supposed to be in one of their full coverage areas. Like downtown for example, standing on top of our parking garage I'm lucky to get 1 bar of 3G. I've even called them from out there before and was told their tower is only about 3 block from where the garage is. When they told me the address I was able to determine what building it was on and I was able to look at see it, of course there were a lot of towers up there, no obstructions between the tower and me, still a **** signal. One of these days I need to borrow my wife's S3 and see how it does down there. Could just be my phone, but honestly the signal was never great with my Droid X there either.

Well, this just raised my hopes up an inch

Read the title of the "This review is from"................ probably full of it but whatever, I'm still holding out hope LOL

not that it means much, but when i spoke to a verizon rep about getting my current gnex fixed i told him i intend on buying the nexus 5. he said there shouldn't be a problem; id just have to bring it in to him so he could connect it to the network

If it's coming from a "rep", it would mean nothing to me. Too many of them are clueless, IMO.

If you have even a sliver of hope that the n5 is coming to Verizon then just let it go dude. It will never happen. Never.

Unless you work for Google, I'll hope for whatever I wish. I will let them ruin my hopes and dreams when an official announcement is made.

Fact:

I heard from a friends brother who is married to the cousin of a clerk at Baskin Robbins that she overheard a Google engineer say that the N5 is going to be released for Verizon 12 days after the GSM carriers.

It's confirmed. I would just go ahead and smash your existing phone now as the release is immanent!

I'm done with verizon -- I bought this phone and I'm looking to sell my one month old LG G2. (i love that phone too but I love pure android more)

I'm curious. What carrier are you switching to, and where are you located? I'm in Salt Lake City, and my only hesitation to leaving Verizon is that I am in the mountain and on lakes a lot, and I need a range of service. If I can feel confident with another carrier, I'm done with VZW.

I feel like that's the reason people who say they're leaving Verizon won't leave. Verizon has the best coverage of any carrier. And at least for me in Downtown Seattle better building penetration. I don't have to stand by a window to make a call like my co-workers with AT&T and T-Mobile.

Left Verizon last June, love getting latest phones plus timely updates. Best of all only 30 compared to the over 65. Can't wait for my n5

Somewhere

Positives and negatives with each carrier. I was with Sprint for years...over 10 and left them for Verizon for one reason, coverage. Here in Colorado, the 4G LTE is great and the best out of all the carriers. Sprint is not even in the Rocky Mountain region with LTE. ATT and T-Mobile are in but very spotty. So why should I pay for 4G service and charges when it is not available? So I left. Verizon won't be getting the Nexus 5 and I too love the pure Google experience. (I even have a Nexus 10) So I made do with using a Apex Launcher on my S3. I don't have Google Wallet but that is ok. I can live without. I do get the NFL app and the Red Zone channel for $5/mon. Works great for Sundays. Not willing to give that up and leave my carrier to go to another with worse coverage. Am I bummed out that Verizon is not getting the 5? Yeah...but I can live without. I can make my S3 work just like it.

That's exactly how I feel. I was super bummed about the Nexus not coming to Verizon. But I have to make due, because I've used Root Metrics and other apps and Verizon just simply has the best coverage everywhere I go. So I went with my second favorite phone the Note 3. And I'm loving it so much. Just gotta make it through 2 more years.
