Hi,

I've lost my original earbuds that came with my Nexus One, anyway they were not of a good quality. Do you suggest any of a high quality with the same set of controls (Mic, music control .. etc ).
Another question, are any earbuds that I find in the market (with the same standard jack input) -let's say from Sony- will work? (Including the mic and the controls) ??

Thanks

Just about any will work, even iphone earbuds, or high-end earbuds. I have tested both.

The N1 earbuds have three buttons, but most others have only one.

Three buttons is a convenience item, not a necessity. You can still skip songs with double taps using other earbuds. (But I can't skip backward reliable with tripple taps so I much prefer the original headset.)

At my age I have a hard time telling the sound quality of one earbud from another.

When buying buds, the thing that is important but often overlooked is the stiffness of the wires. I got some 60 ITX dollar buds from the TiPb store and was very disappointed in the stiff wires, not limp like the original. This leads to a lot of induced noise because wind or rubbing against clothing transmits up the wire and you can hear it.

I've also heard of some people contacting HTC support and requesting a free replacement pair. The only down side is that it will not have the android logo on it.

Well I've got some brand new nexus one headphones that came with mine if anyone wants them, just pm me if you do.

EDIT** 6/3/2010 I sold them to "Duvi" I do not have any more.
