Nexus S Slow battery charging?

i think its the charger and not that phone. I have a .7amp samsung charger i leave at work to charge stuff. Ive charged my backberry at home on a 1amp BB charger its it goes from 0-100 pretty fast <2 hours. Well that samsung charger at work took about 1.5hrs to move it 30%.

ill charge the NS4G i have off the BB charger and see if its faster.

i also have a 2amp tablet charger but that will probably kill the phone lol.

See I was right. Read #1: DO not charge unless your battery is SUPER dead.

This is fairly ridiculous advice.

I'm sure that 99% of Nexus S users need to charge their phone every night. We don't really have a choice.

It also contradicts everything I've heard about caring for Li-ion batteries.

That being said, if your phone can't completely recharge in 12 hours, something is definitely wrong.

I've had my phone down below 10% numerous times and it was always full the next morning (6-8 hours later)

any updates for this issue? my mom just got this phone and ive seen her plug it in at 20% at 7pm and it not be full when she checks at 7am. 12 hours could charge a ****ing refrigerator of batteries. this is ridiculous... i configured her phone so i know it's not a software issue, at least not one that spans devices. i gave her a charger i believe is 1amp so we'll see if that makes a significant difference. i know her phone's been completely dead a few times and wouldnt get above 90% overnight. that's not acceptable. my thunderbolt might not last as long but it pulls more power b/w the larger screen and 4G (when in that area) and it charges way faster than this. her phone barely lasts 12 hours if shes out and doesnt plug it in. while i'd kill for 12 hours on my TB even when not on 4G, i see people claiming 15-20 hours between charges here and elsewhere, and i guarantee these people use their phones more than my 50 year old mother.

WOW quick update. just 10 minutes since i connected it to a droid eris charger with $1 monoprice usb cable and it's up 8%. that would have been like an hour and a half on the stock **** that shipped with the phone. what a joke.

Yeah someone needs to ask this question to a Samsung rep straight up, see what's going down with this issue?

Sent from my Xoom

has anyone found a solution? I also have a NS4G and it takes nearly 8 full hours to charge...what is being done about this? About to take the thing back...

To give a bit of perspective, I am coming from a blackberry device. My BBC had an equivalent zsize battery. It only took 35-40 minutes to fully charge using any of the three methods I had at my disposal.
My n's on day 4 took 3 hours to charge. Day one took over 8 to fully charge up.. so it is getting better. But its still way too long.
