Nexus S vs EVO/EVO 3D

I was looking at the Nexus S at Best Buy and noticed it only had 1G space allocated for applications. Is this all the space out of the 16G that you can use for Apps? If so this is a deal breaker for me.[/QUO

I wasn't aware that it had 1 GB of application memory. If it does, then that's more than any Android phone I have seen thus far.

slp15: Which phone do you have that has more than 1GB? Or do you have 1GB and are somehow running out of space?

Considering most Android phones before the ones that had 1GB only had like 250MB to use for applications and get by most of the time, I don't see how 1GB is bad.

My nook color has 1GB and it installed every application I have on my phone, which has App2SD, and I still had 600MB free.

The Nexus will be out in April as confirmed by cnet. I will be selling my Evo for the Nexus as I want constant updates directly from Google and not from sprint. Also even the new Evo doesn't come close to the display on the Nexus. And for led notifications just install noLed from the market and u will get a led on the screen ..aaahhh the beauty of Android.

Here are my main points as far as my point of view;

1. I have a 16GB SD card on my Evo right now. Not close to using HALF! So i am comfotable with the no SD card thing.
2. Battery life, WAY better than the Evo! And dont expect the Evo 3D to be better while using the 3D features.
3.Updates, Updates, and again Updates.
4.You can release the Evo 4D, the Droid Superman, or the Galaxy Universe..the Nexus WILL always be 1st in line for Google.Period.

Well he doesnt say a date, just "April" but I guess we can aim towards the middle of April since Best Buy and Sprint are already taking preorders.

I agree completely. Lolololol "Galaxy Universe"

I am just saying if youre ok with just not getting Pure Android that's cool too but if u want to be the cradle that holds Googles baby than get the Nexus.

I'm also considering the nexus s over the 3d evo. Picture taking is not really my thing. I currently have the evo with cm7 stock gingerbread. I like the size of the nexus compare to the evo.

Actually, I went and compared the Nexus S to the Evo. Basically the same width and length. Only difference was the thickness.

The screen size of the Nexus is making people think it's that much smaller than the Evo. 4.0" vs 4.3", but in reality they're the same.

Yes the Nexus and Evo are almost the same size, but not in weght, or battery life, the Nexus is lighter ( woo hoo) and also has a BETTER battery lfe thanks to that gorgeous screen.

I too was surprised that the Nexus is the same size as the Evo. The curves must throw it off. At that size and the feature set, the 3D is a better phone. At least, come 2012 which phone do you think will make it to the end of 2012 or even start of it without feeling like a dog? It's not going to be the Nexus, not at all.

Come 2012 what makes you think that anything that Android based released will be hot? LOL these phones are popping out like Mexicans having kids! ( I'm Mexican by the way, relax people its a joke) :p.

I guarantee you that by 2012 the next Nexus ( probably made by Motorola, since Google is giving each manufacturer the chance of each creating a Nexus) will be and will always be King of the Hill. Rest my case!.

So, might as well get this CDMA Nexus since Motorola won't be coming to Sprint?

Oh Motorola wont be coming to sprint until this summer with the Atrix version. But that's still up in the fog.

Either way the nexus is still a better choice for the heavy Android user.
