Nexus S vs EVO speedtests

Just ran 7 speed tests in a row. 1 bar of 4G on both.

EVO was always faster, but the Nexus is pretty quick too.

My stock Nexus S 4G blows the doors off my stock HTC EVO.

My Nexus is ok on 3G, 4G and WIFI but my iPad 2 on WIFI absolutely smokes it badly. My iPad was getting higher numbers than my Macbook even. Something crazy like 32Mbps down and over 2 up. My Nexus was like 2Mbps down and not even 1 up.

I don't really care much about the speed tests, I can surf, download and stream music/video with no problems on my Nexus as well as my Evo... and that's the only speed tests that really counts in my book.

Well hot damn son.
When I did test in my Nashville Sprint store, I got the opposite results with the Nexus coming out on top by a large margin every time.

The T-Mobile Nexus has a radio that supposedly tops out around 7 mbps, does anyone know what the 4g' radio can handle? Could be a similar problem with the EVO having a radio capable of faster data speeds. In my experience the EVO also get a much stronger connection to the network.

I was at a Sprint store earlier in Duluth, GA. I ran several speedtests with the Nexus, and got between 1 and 1.5 mbps on 4G. The Epic got around 2 mbps. The EVO couldn't even lock on a 4G signal!

I thought that was a bit odd. And I also thought that was a bit slow for the 4G, given the location of the store.

Work computer got 1.34mbps nexus on 3g 1.47mbps. LOL!

I might be able to try 4g this weekend. Will post if I do.

This is typical from what I have seen my experience is (1 bar 3g / 1 bar 4g)....The reception is horrible sprints looking in to it
