Objectively, the nexus has better specs all around and it's, well, a Nexus. The RAZR Maxx has a better battery, a slim design, hugely better radios, and a passable screen. (The actual internals are very similar)
Deciding between them is entirely subjective. The negatives of each may not be a big deal for individual users. It all just depends what you're looking for in a device. Personally, if the Maxx had a 720p screen it would be my perfect device. Actually quite interested to see what Motorola comes up with for the HD.
