The only thing that your going to install that has bugs is the luancher. Only because the n1 doesn't have a landscape luancher

Well that's mainly the one I want! haha oh well - I am liking the news/weather widget, and will try the music player too.

The Weather Widget is Bad Ass, but it wasnt recognizing my location via GPS. Would only work with a manual input of zip code.

Either way, its good!

Great find!

Loving it so far. Except, the launcher is a little buggy. Scrolling isn't nearly as fast and sometimes the home screen is blank forcing you to hit the Home button to get everything back.

ive been using them all for awhile, Droid-Life actually posted my video review of em. They're great.

the launcher is a little buggy, but making my boss jealous at work with it is PRICELESS.

They look nice but they are LAGGY as hell :(

The launcher in particular is very unresponsive and slow at times.

edit: very cool though I like the idea and appreciate the effort :)

I installed the music app, like the improvements.

However, I do not like having 2 music apps on my phone, labeled the same (both "music").

If I uninstalled the stock music app, could I find it somewhere and re-install it again?

I am hoping to do this also to force my dock mode into using that music app. I noticed that it will use the "last opened/interacted" one. I discovered this by backing out of the New music app (closing it, essentially), and having my landscape music player revert to the stock music app.

I am actually probably not going to install them. One thing I do hate is a overload of bugs, and having something crash on landscape or whatever is not an attractive proposition for me. I also like having something to look forward to when 2.1 is eventually released.

Although I do think I will get the news widget (been looking for a good one), and the music player (not much has changed, but does make it more useable.

The Launcher app is the most buggy.. def annoying.. I'll prob switch back tomorrow. It is neeto though.

You will have something to look forward to! Like... Flash!!! and I hear that the next Nexus 1 update includes Multi Touch in the native browser! I'm hoping we'll get these goodies with 2.1 on our DROID. :D

Has there been any word around the interwebs on when we might see a Launcher that isn't so buggy that works in landscape mode?

Only problem...

I installed all the ported 2.1 apps (launcher, gallery, music, etc.) and the only problem i've experience so far is with the launcher and even that is only slight. It seems that sometimes when i scroll to the far right homescreen, it locks up and force closes. This only happens periodically and for some reason only on the far right. Anyone else experience this? The only thing I even have on that page thus far is the TuneWiki widget..

You can't uninstall the stock music app unless your phone is rooted.

If it is simply add the extension ".bak" to the stock file located in /system/app and that will effectively uninstall it. Reinstalling is a simple matter of removing the .bak

I agree with that statement. The launcher is the only one that gave me trouble so I am okay with uninstalling it until the official comes out.

So I downloaded the 2.1 music app and I love it. But whenever I use my Moto S9 bluetooth to listen to music my controls don't work. If I skip a song it will skip a song in the 2.0 music app. Is there anyway to fix this?
