Hi,
First time post and while not exactly a total newb I'm not tech savvy neither so please go easy.
As far as I'm aware I never use NFC, not for Google pay, cast, nothing, every phone i every had seems to have problems with it.
Even though I don't use it and in the past on other phones even had it closed, disabled, cleared data etc etc, when I'd look at the data usage there it was being used with quite high levels, along with WiFi direct which I also don't use, Bluetooth (don't use) and something in the dialer which says something about Bluetooth? But that's a different problem.
Anyway, even though i never use NFC it keeps using data and just now while backing up apps with Titanium when I tried to back up the NFC app it said "can't backup now as the app is being used"
WTF? I stopped it, backed it up, went to the app to force close, delete cache, data etc but everything was completely greyed out which I've never seen with any other app before.
So being recently rooted with SU and open bootloader i deleted the app to the recycle bin just in case i need it back, it said in red letters preferred don't uninstall or something.
Has anyone got a clue while it was running, using data every month and all the options were greyed out?
And will it screw something else up now I've deleted it meaning I'll have to install it again?
I'll post again regarding the WiFi direct/WiFi share usage even though i don't use those nether and the high dialer data with the weird Bluetooth part.
Thanks a lot in advance
Just checked the app data,
Android.nfc.com running time 95% (even though i don't use it)
One is Telecom service 100% usage
Bluetooth phone service 100% usage?
