NFC not working

I'm glad it worked as it was the first and only thing I could think of, but like I mentioned in another thread a couple of days ago, what amazes me the most is that it was the first thing that occurred to me, so what's happening with this companies' support, AT&T, Best Buy, Samsung?, neither of them seem to have a clue what to tell their clients when they call with simple stuff like this, and even saying that is a known bug, OMG, then it's a miracle people still buy Android phones with the bad reputation is getting from their own suppliers.

And that's why we have this forum. So members like you can help us typical consumers.

Keep it going, erasat. We owe you a lot. I can personally vouch for erasat as I recently needed his help with a new user who was having an issue.

Thanks guys, but like I've always said, I'm just "paying it forward" .

Thanks for the additional information. In my case, all the phones are GS6. NFC not working g on mine. It will receive but not transmit. Don't see S Beam in any of the settings.

Cheers

Go to settings - NFC and payment and click on NFC settings and with it in On position check that the Android Beam option is also On.

Excellent. That was it. Odd that Android Beam was disabled on two of the phone but not the other three. Appreciate the feedback and help.

I have been having a problem with my Galaxy s6 NFC. I am on android 5.0.2 AT&T. I have check NFC and Android Beam and both are on. I have cleared Cache, reflash stock firmware, and did a factory reset. But when I put my wifes Galaxy S5 back to back with my Galaxy S6 nothing happens. When my son puts his Galaxy S3 back to back with my wifes Galaxy S5 what ever I want to transfer (videos, contacts, pictures or whatever) works.

It appears the latest update may have broken NFC. I can no longer transfer files from any of my S6 phones or to other NFC equipped devices. Anyone else experiencing this too?

I get the initial audible when the phones are touched together but that's all.

Thanks

Carrier is AT&T

I live in Canada. My NFC stopped working after 6.0 update on my nexus 5 but I noticed all our phone companies sell a new type of Sim card called NFC SIM Card so that's probably why the phone companies just want more money there $15.00 here

sorry but im having the same issue, and if i factory reset, i wont be able to transfer the files i have on it, since the factory reset will delete everything. the reason im trying to use NFC is to transfer everything i have on my old phone to the new phone

FWIW, my Note 4 NFC stopped working around the same time; couldn't say if it was update related. I never used NFC, but I know it was working within the last 6 months. Recently I decided I needed to use NFC and discovered it doesn't work. Verizon was no help, other than agreeing that it's probably hardware failure. Before returning the phone for replacement I tried resetting settings (no help) and resetting to factory defaults, erasing everything and that didn't help either.

I have nfc and cant get to connect to mobile phone bluetooth i tried everthing and download the nfc still no good if some one out can help it will be nice thank you
