I've picked up some NFC tags, and set one up for my "Guest WiFi" connection info. So when my friends with their NFC enabled phones/laptops come to our place, they can "tap" and get the WiFi configured, so no more having to manually enter that data.

OK, now that is one of the more creative uses I have seen (since all the other uses are "meh").

Of course, we should also be able to do that with just scanning a QR code...
