Nillkin Hard Case for Nexus 4

Heard from a review that Nillkin actually made good screen protectors, not sure I'll see it when I receive it. Can you make a new thread and review those two cases? Would help a ton for the members of this community :D

My initial impression is that it will scratch very easily, seems to be thinner material than Skinomi and the like. Also, doesn't run all the way to the edges, close but not as exact as others (Skinomi and Bodyguardz being the two I've tried thus far for the Nexus 4)
That's a good idea, I'll make an effort to get around to it.

yeah, i'm going to make a small little review for those who want or are questioning to get a nillkin case.

oh, sucks :( Love the textured back. It's not just the texture but the logo Nillkin is harder to see instead of just there. I like black more than any other color, might've tried white but that'll be seen in the dark pretty easily (teachers can see pretty easily :P)

I think I like the brown the best!

Just want to share my observations about Nillkin case. I am surprised how sturdy it is. HOWEVER I don't think I'll be using it as it is extremely slippery! So although sturdy it misses the whole point i.e preventing the phone from drops. Also, I very much doubt that the case would make any difference if the phone dropped. Yes it would prevent scratches but that's it. I also have S line case and was using it for a while, I prefer it over Nillkin. But at the moment I'm testing: no case Xtremeguard back and front screen protectors.

I have the brown Nillikin case. It was super slippery at first but now it is a lot better. It's like it's worn in a bit or something. I hated it at first, but think you will like it after you use it for a week or so.

I just use one cheap crystal case to protect my nexus 4, and i don't like the Nillkin Hard Case .

I bought the Nillkin case but I have to say I am very disappointed. The case is very sturdy however it's extremely slippery! It completely misses the purpose of having a case. I hardly ever dropped my phone in the past but with this case its dead easy. Also, I doubt very much that the case would protect the phone from an impact its basically a thin piece of hard plastic which would pass on the impact force onto the phone.

I felt the same way when I got mine. I did my share of biotching too, but after using it for a while it gets more tacky. Not sure if it's sweat or if it's just the fact that the initial finish is worn off but it's way better now. Took a week or so.

Did you get the rugged back or the clean one? I got the rugged one and it is fine. I don't exactly feel the ruggedness on the back but it is there.
And yes it won't protect an egg if it was in the case but this is the Nexus 4. It isn't that easy to break so it might be able to not break with four feet or so. My ipod did, multiple times with a hard case but there was metal on the back

I'm considering getting one, if only for the fact it looks nice. But how well, if at all, would that protect, say, the screen, if dropped?

I have personaly dropped the Nexus 4 with the Nillkin hard case from about 2-3 ft on hard floor in a restroom. No damages whatsoever.

really late reply but it protects the screen well. I put the phone face down and looked parallel to the desk and i saw a space of light between the screen and the case. The negative is that the sides are surrounding the phone so you don't get the good feel of the curvey glass (which i love) and it gets stopped.

I got one just for looks. Looks good in white, wouldn't trust it to protect much if the phone was dropped though, top and bottom is left opened.

Btw, does anyone know what the blue film that comes with the case is for?
