I just noticed that Beats Audio is missing when using the default music player to play MP3 or any other music files. The Beats Audio logo shows up during the boot-up animation. The icon doesn't show up when I start music. I can't tell if Beats Audio is working or not.

This is my stock Rezound, flashed to the latest leaked official ICS. Has anyone else noticed this?

Thanks! :)

You didn't say, so I have to ask, do you have headphones plugged in?

Yes, since Beats Audio *only* works with headphones plugged in.

I even tried several other earphones/headphones, other than the Beats Audio earphones that
came with the Rezound. None worked... :( (or more precisely, the Beats Audio icon doesn't
show up when the stock music player starts playing with headphones plugged in)

I rebooted the phone a few times and that didn't solve the problem I wonder if I should just
flash the leaked official ICS again.

I'm not sure it turns itself on by default. You need to go into the EQ in the stock player and turn beats on.

If you mean the "Sound Enhancer" setting in the stock music player, then yes, Beat Audio is
selected.(instead of HTC enchancer) I've tried switching it back and forth a few times.
Made no difference... :(

Check under Settings/Apps/All Apps to make sure it wasn't accidentally disabled. Other than that, a reflash would be the path I would take.

I am on a custom ICS rom and he is constantly applying fixes for Beats. This leads me to believe that it is unfinished in the leak that we have.

just a though

Beats is working fine for me in the latest leak. Looks like a reflash might be needed for you. Good luck.
