No Canadian carrier versions

So looks like v40 won't be coming to Canada. Maybe you can still buy direct full price from LG. But you won't be able to get subsidised versions at Bell, Rogers, etc. What a shame this is.

You don't get "subsidized" versions in the US any more either. The carriers finance the price, but you still pay for it - at purchase or for 24 or 30 months. Some subsidize for a couple of phones that aren't selling. The V40 will end up costing just about the full price at all 4 US carriers (a few cents more if you pay by the month with a couple).
