No Desktop Charger? Really?

Anyone noticed that expansys updated the pogo car dock and desktop dock with "WARNING: Product NOT compatible with VERIZON edition ’Galaxy NEXUS i515." from the earlier "Compatibility not yet Confirmed"

I just received an email confirmation that my backordered desktop dock is finally orderable... However, there is no way to place the order on the site, and the phone number just goes to voice mail.

How is it possible that a full four months after buying this phone with announced desktop chargers that I still cannot place an order?

How hard could it be to make a desktop charger? There are over 50 available for the Iphone....

Notice there is no link to actually fulfill the backorder shown below. And the original web site link I used to place the order is no longer active...

Nice!

What happened to the landscape desktop dock with the power bullets that they Andoroid Central showed off in December? I don't like the idea of cramming a USB connector in and out of the phone 20 times a day. Plus I like the landscape desktop display when working at my desk.

Honestly, this is a type of Android fragmentation that nobody is talking about. I can buy 50 Iphone docs/cradles/amplifiers/(you name it) because EVERY iphone uses the same accessories. I have a great desktop dock I bought with my DroidX that is worthless since i bought the GN.

Think about the 3rd party accessory manufactures. Which platform provides the best revenue opportunity? Iphone wins this one hands down.

(btw - i am NOT an Iphone fanboy, but I am get frustrated when I walk into staples and see 200 cool accessories for an iphone, and ZERO for any droid)

While I agree with your frustrations, from a manufacturing standpoint I'd much rather make accessories that are model specific so that you continually have to repurchase them. I'm confident manufacturers weren't the ones to decide "all" no iphones should use a micro USB to charger them....landfills and environmentalists were. I for one could dig up at least 10 "useless" wall and car chargers from over the years.

really...
I run with my gnex sitting on a treadmill... Its fallen off 2 times in a row now (first time I partially stepped on it). No damage to the phone (the vw case is awesome!). When I used my thunderbolt, I set a weighted desk charged on the treadmill and it never moved. Was a great running tool for me. I've dusted off the ipod nano and started running outdoors again. I won't use the treadmill until I can get a desk charger where I can watch netflix (makes the runs go much faster).

As for the battery. Using the stock battery in a 4G area I have no issues making it through a work day and then some (I work 11.5-13.5 hour shifts). I am a power user, too. I use about 11GB a month.
Hi, I am new here and just got the Galaxy Nexus. The first one lasted two days and had to go back, classified as DOA. The second phone I need to charge 3 times a day. It mostly sits unused, as I am usually on the computer. I am wondering if it is because I am in a 3G area; but I have CDMA selected.

It amazes me that you are a power user and get that much juice from your phone. As things stand, I am ready to give up on this phone, although I think its features are amazing. Any suggestions for increasing phone stamina? I am going to browse this forum, but if you have ideas please let me know. Thanks!
