Strictly going by the countdown on the DroidDoes.com website for the Bionic. Its odd, but its still a countdown to something

I just spoke to a representative on the phone who took a little time to check to make absolutely sure that they are still not available for pre-sale. She said that as of yesterday they were not, but let me check.. (queue jeopardy music). She did confirm though, not available. I also asked just for the sake of asking if it were possible to order accessories early or if I had to wait until the phone goes up for sale (or pre-sale) first cuz i'd love to have my lapdock in hand to check it out. Nope, must wait.

haha exactly... I want to pre-order as much as anyone here but there's some RAGE in some people over it, lol. If they don't give us the chance, go get drunk this weekend or play some baseball (its still summer...leave the computer screen alone), go to work or whatever it is you do next week, and before the week is even done, guess what? You'll be able to walk right into a store and buy the phone! yay!

I wondering if the countdown is only related to the code which basically unlocks the video. Each of the four codes had their own timer. Once a code was entered the timer went away. I'm guessing that if the code for boing boing was entered right now, the timer would go away and we basically get the full video which seems to only show the scavenger hunt. I believe if they do not enter the code before the timer it will just unlock their code without input. I don't think it is for some presale information

So... Rage. hmm. I should've just stayed home today. I had to be at one of our facilities at 4:27am (few minutes before) since we have a server that reboots then and has a limited outage window. Needed to pull power so a lingering 'log' light would go out. I get there, and one of my other co-workers is there too. Crap... miscommunication so we both ended up there to do the same quick task. Ok, fine. i'll just head downtown into the office and get some stuff done. Cruising along down Dodge Street in Omaha, NE at 4:45am is amazingly nice due to there being ZERO traffic. Its 5 or so lanes wide down near 65th street, where I got pulled over for speeding (wasn't even in a hurry, was killing time) 52 in a 35. Yep, 35... had no idea cuz traffic during the day usually is going 45+ So, to keep this on topic, the $178 speeding ticket is severly affecting my budget! lol AND... to top it off, I get here and call the VZW rep and confirm its not available. Not a good morning lol.

Sucks man, had more than my share of speeding tickets in my youth
Thankfully I've wisened up with age, haven't had any tickets in a number of years now (knock on wood, lol)

You're in trouble now. I just said that a week ago and now look. haha

I lived for speeding tickets when I was younger. I still drive fast, but not stupid. I'm 30, not sure where that places me age-wise, but i tend to drive at a speed that would be acceptable given the amount of traffic at the time. The Cop could tell I was pissed as he told me 52 in a 35... I repeated.. "its really only 35 here?", to which i dropped the muddled 'Mutha f@^*$%' to myself (he clearly heard it). Yeah, good times.

So, enough about my morning who's hoping Noon EST is the preorder time?

Its hard to ignore the severe itch in my brain...only the Bionic can scratch it.

Yeah, if no pre-order today, i dunno what i'm gonna do. Maybe I'll go sign up for some Apple forum and be a Android fanboy.

I think its because the phone is still not ready guys.. this phone has gone through a mountain of changes and system dumps.. I still believe that the phone is still not 100% for user consumption.

My take is that they are still working on little bugs and things and hopefully everything is ready by monday for a Thursday release.

I agree, but I think the timer is SOMETHING. Maybe not a pre-sale (fingers crossed), but atleast an official announcement! Less than 3 hours now!!!
