No email app on my gear s 3

I have a mi max 2 phone and I am trying to get notifications of an email on my gear S3 smart watch, there is no icon on the watch for email like I have seen on utube can someone give me directions how to do this

I think for the SMS ans Email apps you need to be using a the stock SMS and email apps on a Samsung phone with the watch connected to it.

The stock SMS app is not required. I use Textra on my Samsung Note 8 and my Gear S3.

Maybe there's a Textra app then that lets you see all your messages but there's not for others. They all work as a single notification though.

For email I use AquaMail. Again you can see your messages on your Gear S3.
