Hi everyone,

I just had my screen replaced on my S4 and since then I can't get any haptic feedback nor does the phone vibrate for notifications or phone calls

I have tried every option and checked all the right boxes and still nothing, is it possible it's because of the new screen? Can anyone confirm with me that a new screen can cause this

Thanks

So no vibration occurs at all? What about when you power on from an off state. Is there a vibration when you first see the Samsung logo appear? If not, the vibration motor is probably broken. I would guess it's possible for the motor to be damaged during the screen repair, but it might also be a coincidence.

I restarted the phone and still no vibration, I imagine it's what you wrote that the motor is now damaged

Thanks for your reply

That's a bummer. The vibration motor is pretty much the only moving part in a phone, so it wouldn't be surprising that it can break down in some devices.
