No icon for full screen youtube? (Update: Fix Inside)

After manually updating youtube, force stopping the app about 5 times and restarting my phone 3 times the zoom function alive, put the phone in landscape mode and move your thumbs from the centre towards the side.

turned off my phone and cleared cache and restarted and that got it to work!!

It's not a bug, it was an update. If you pinch the sides you can zoom/crop it in. They just removed the actual icon, but the function is still there.

Yeah but for some even that wasn't working. What got mine to work was to turn off my phone and clear cache.

Actually, I tried it today, and there was a blue zoom to fill sign, so I guess it is fixed.

Here's one for ya...I STILL HAVE the crop to fit button, but it doesn't do anything anymore. Pinch to zoom DOES WORK for me though. How's that for a glitch..lol

Got pinch to zOom working...make sure you clear cache and data...and then force stop a few times till it starts working....

Hi everyone I had the same issue. Try pinch to zoom. It seems that it's just a gesture instead of a button. Hope this helps!

Hey, I'm having issues with Note8 getting fullscreen videos on YouTube. I had another before this(I had to exchange due to issues and defects) and when I factory reset it, I could watch in fullscreen. I've reset this one twice, did the whole uninstall reinstall youtube. Nothing's working. Anyone have any working ideas?

In regards to the pinch to zoom feature, it seems that it's not working for some people sadly. I feel like it is an issue with the new YouTube app. I hope they address it in a bug fix for the folks that the fix isn't working for

For those having trouble you need to close all windows down. Then "Clear the Cache" for the YouTube app. This is not the same as force stop or dissble. My pinch to zoom did not display until I cleared the cache twice.

*Press Settings.... Press Apps.....Press Youtube.... Press Storage.... Press Clear Cache only.... . Fixed.. If needed do this twice. Enjoy the new pinch to zoom.

It's funny - he mentions this feature was first on tye Pixel 2 XL but I couldn't get it to work in the vzw store on the Pixel 2 XL

After updating to the October security patch that button was removed for me to, but the pinch in and pinch out gesture do work for me just fine.

I have a t mobile note 8.. This works but I had to delete YouTube cache twice.. see my above post.
