Hi...I stumbled on this information site looking up the instructions to root a friend's phone. Hope this works as easily as it seems. The root for my own phone was pretty simple, but this one is a little more complex.

Hello Rush Lindsay.....long time BB user, so done with it, talk about Fanboys over on Crackberry......it's like going down with the Titanic......I've stuck with them for years, they were the champs for a very long time, but past is not prologue, and I so tire of hearing how in 12 more months it's maybe possible to have a new phone with a new science project OS.

Looking over the new Android phones, I do believe the market needs to settle down a bit, there is a new model almost weekly, and while I know that 10 minutes after you buy any smartphone it will be replaced, I'd like it to be current for a month or so. I'm also kind of locked into AT&T, have never been a Verizon fan ( I know there are fans of both), but it seems Verizon is getting all the new Android phones, especially from Samsung and Motorola, and AT&T get's a few. Maybe it's payback for them having had a lock on the iPhone for so long.

Anyway, my contract has another 2-3 months to go, then I am looking forward to making the leap.....I'm pretty good with jail-breaking, etc., and looking forward to finally getting a phone that people are writing apps for.....ever watch TV or read anything and see the quote....'now use our new app for the iPhone and Android?' Never any mention of RIM anymore, just the same old same old.

Will be monitoring the forums to get the real 'dirt'. Looking forward to be a productive and helpful member of this forum!!!!!
