Im not fanning flames, I am just identifying I had a TERRIBLE experience with BB (box store) and went to the BB Mobile and got my phone no problems. But the BB (box store) was HORRIBLE, hated I had to give BB my money, but i got my phone for free with their gift card that they gave me....so oh well
 
So you bumped your own thread, created to flame a store? Interesting... I don't understand why you would want one of the last national electronics chains to go out of business. Apparently you love that sweet 500 square foot craphole that is Walmart's electronics department.

My experience at BB was what I made it - great. Here's why:

I called the 3 stores around me (within a 15 mile radius) on 6/1 and found store #1 was filled with people who didn't know what was really going on, compared to myself who had a pretty substantial grasp on the situation thanks to AC, GoodandEvo and InsideSprintNow.

Store #1 was not an option after they told me two days before the 6/2 launch that there was a manufacturing delay and they were no longer accepting preorders or applying the $100 OG EVO credit.

Store #2 verified that they had stock coming in but didn't know when. Also verified that I could preorder and pick up today (5/31) if their shipment came in time, or I could pick up on 6/1 (which I knew not to be the case). They had 13 coming in and only 9 were preorders, so I was good to go if I went with them.

Store #3 verified their delivery schedule, verified a non-preorder surplus of 4 devices and verified that 6/1 wasn't an option for pick up, as per a recent company-wide announcement (which I had already seen @ goodandevo.net). Also verified a preorder on 6/1 would guarantee me a device on 6/2. They also verified the $100 OG EVO credit and the $50 BB gift card credit was still in force through 6/9, preorder OR walk-in. I couldn't make it in to do the preorder so I went in first thing Saturday morning to store #3.

The girl helping me (Dara @ the store in Menifee, CA if anyone needs some good help) was fantastic. She knew all about the situation, they had been keeping tabs on it from various sites (including this one) and were well prepared for every question I had. It took some time, but she activated the device through the system on my son's line, completed the paperwork, and then went over the gift cards with me: $50 for the EVO (normally based on condition and the inclusion of the charger, but informed me that the system was set to override all of that during this promo, so even though I didn't bring my charger, I still got the full $50), $50 extra EVO credit during this promo and $50 gift card for the launch ƎVO promo. Showed me all of their cases, gave me a combo discount on a sweet blue Seidio case and a Zagg HD screen protector, rang it up and gave me the total. She then printed out my Reward Zone certificates that I was going to apply, but forgot to bring with me, and asked me how many of the gift cards I wanted to apply to the purchase. I used two, saving the third for a gift for someone down the line, and walked out of there with the phone, a case, the Zagg (not sure if I'll use that or not) and a charger I didn't have to give up to keep the OG EVO trade-in @ $50, for a grand total of $67. Plus she flirted with me a little. Something about my name being the same as a sexy vampire on her favorite show.

My point is that I put some time and effort in and got something good out of it. Not everyone who works at BB, or Walmart or Radio Shack for that matter, is an uber-geek-Android-fanboy like many of us here. They don't have engineering degrees from MIT, nor are they the driving force behind CM9. I understand that. Most people understand that. I don't know if you do. They get paid a low hourly wage to deal with people like you. I wouldn't want that job. Not after reading this thread.

I purchased two from my local best buy they were pre order the sales gal was a phone geek like me she knew every thing about the phone. She had a one x plus I phone

I dislike wm... However the issue is having a peorder at bb that never filled when I knew their was stock sitting at every bb around me on 6/2... Also sprint called me today saying i could get one when I knew there was stock sitting there at 6/2... So walking into a bb on 6/2 and getting a phone is not really an amazing thing... You probably got someones preorder...

Wm had phone and sold early without preorder...

Excellent job comprehending. I didn't get mine on 6/1. I got it on 6/2. And I didn't get someone else's preorder. The store I went to had surplus devices on top of the preorders they had.

Regardless, it didn't matter if they had stock, you could not have gotten one on 6/1 from Best Buy. They were not allowed to sell them until 6/2. If you preordered and they had stock on 5/31, you could have. But not on 6/1, even if you were a preorder and even if it was in stock. I'm not saying it was a good thing, I'm just pointing out the fact and the policy they went by. I assume they didn't get their stock in until 6/1 at your store, like most. If they would have had it in on 5/31, you would have gotten your device. I don't think they were specifically targeting you because they thought you might be a schmuck:

And saying you dislike Walmart is the exact opposite of praising the Lord for Walmart, which you did in the original post.

Stop your crying and stop telling And every one else were to shop sorry u had a bad experience at best buy but I had a great 1 I ordered my phone at the store 4 days before launch date I got a phone call to pick it up today it came in so I Will keep buying my phones there if I get the best deal so stop the crying and be a man and deal with it already and have a:beer:

seriously, stop bumping this pointless thread. I had a Great Experience at my local BB because I became an informed shopper and did research before I went. Sorry you're butthurt. Take your whining elsewhere. $9 phone out the door is win.

I think he's under the impression that the upper management @ BB corporate HQ posts here and they will see his outrage, offer him 500,000 voting shares of stock, a seat on the Board of Directors and an eventual move into the CEO position.

Or he's just bumping his own thread to get his post count up.

You're mad because you preordered @ Best Buy and they wouldn't let you pick up the phone on 6/1 (even though you know that they had them in the store) because they weren't allowed to. So now you hate them for doing their job. And thank God for Walmart and all that good stuff. No, I think we pretty much have it exactly right in proportion to the amount of your pissing and moaning about it. On thread after thread after thread.

So 3 days and 54 posts in, you have figured out that you went in on Saturday, 6/2, and couldn't get the phone or is it Friday, 6/1? Maybe, and think about this for a second, you just don't know how to post your thoughts in a forum. And before you respond, know that "bump" isn't really a thought.

Did you ever bother to call and ask the store about your preorder on 5/31 or 6/1? Did they just not get enough in? Was it a simple error that kept you from getting the email? We don't really know because you're just tantruming like a little child. The only thing I know for sure is that you preordered on 5/26. I only know that because I saw it in another thread you posted in. I shouldn't have to work this hard to understand what's got you pissing vinegar. You should just say it. And be specific. If you can't do that then just go away.
