No S9 active due to the Note 9?

Maybe because the S10 specs will be greater than the s8 active, so they can eliminate a skew and give everyone the benefits of the active line when the s10 arrives. The s9 active product would be redundant and released too close to the s10.

No demand for S9 Active. They didnt sell enough regular S9's as it is. Plus Samsung too busy making all sorts of S-Lite variants for China.

I think the Galaxy S8 Active is already good enough to last another year. To save on costs, they just continue to sell the S8 Active, which is still a stellar phone. There's no need to release another Active phone when the S8 Active is still good for now. The S9 was barely different than the S8, so the S9 Active would've been a waste of money to make for them. BTW AT&T's contract for their exclusive rights to the Active series is gone, maybe that's why they stopped caring.

I have the Galaxy S8 Active, damn it.
Trying to utilize other phones is a problem.
Pixel 2 XL, iPhone 7, Pixel...grrrrr.
All, for one reason or another, can't hold a candle to the S8 Active.
Battery life for one. With my usage can get almost 2 days of use.
Try that with a Pixel, Pixel 2 or iPhone....hmm...you can't.
Dropsies? drop my S8A all the time with nary a scratch.
Do I use all the Samsung apps? of course not, but some come in handy.
S9, Pixel 3 XL...they haven't turned my head yet.
Maybe the S10 will but my point is the S8 Active sets a high bar for others to beat.

I saw the S8 Active in a T-Mobile store in December 2017.

It's not an AT&T exclusive anymore as flyingkytez mentioned above.

Being a Verizon customer, I always hated that the active was only on ATT. Now that is no longer the case, show me a Verizon S10+ active!
