No signal or network at times

I'm having issue's where it seems my s9 plus can't pick up a signal at all on occasions when restarting the phone it won't show a network at all and the only way to get the signal back is to turn on flight mode off then on...Could it be a hardware issue ?

it's as if mobile network had been switched off, It's only happened 2 times but I have only owned it less than 2 weeks

Should I get the handset exchanged?

After recent T-Mobile software update I have many issue while searching on the web. Looks like loosing network or connectivity while browsing and using T-Mobile network along with wife.
Had to reboot my phone multiple times in order to work and works for short period and all over again.
