No SIM card detected error after 6.0.1 update on my Note 5

Hi there!

I updated last saturday to Marshmallow 6.0.1 through T-Mobile on my Note 5.

I have been receiving, at least twice a day, a "No SIM card detected" followed inmediately by a "SIM inserted. Restart" errors. It happens anytime, running apps or not, moving the phone or not, charging the phone or not. It has even happened while the phone is sitting still on a table.

I have cleared the cache, but nothing has changed.

Anyone with this issue? What can I do?

Thank you in advance for any help.

I've had the same problem the last couple weeks as well. Yesterday when I got the no sim card detected error and re-started, the phone locked up. I took it to Sprint and they seemed to be aware of this issue since the recent small update they had. The update took my phone to version N920PVPS2BPD1. On Sprint's website the Features/Enhancements for this update was called "Samsung and Google Monthly Security Update".

I didn't get the impression they fully understand why it's happening, but they seemed to think swapping the sim card would fix the problem. We shall see, no restarts since.

I work with someone that has a Sprint Note 5 also and since they updated haven't had the same sim card error. I updated before him so maybe it's coming.

Getting the same error after the update as well. Really frustrating.

I'm on AT&T and still on 5.1.1. Mine started with the sim card error about the same time as everyone else. Reboot and it would clear for a day or so then come back. I pulled the card, cleaned the contacts and haven't had any problem since. Try the obvious fix first.

I have been tapping at the top of the phone where the card is and it goes away w/out rebooting.....Not sure if it's loose or what, it's annoying.
