No software updates

Hi, wondering if anyone can help me. I recently purchased a brand new LG G7 LM-G710EM, the phone is running 8.0 oreo and May 2018 security patch. I tried checking for any updates but I keep getting the message "you are using the latest software version for current OS", I know lg aren't at the forefront when it comes to pushing updates but I know it should be on a much newer security patch than May 2018 in March 2019. I've reached out to lg but have as yet had no response...... any thoughts would be appreciated.

You can find some of the latest kdz files at mylgphones.com. (But you'll have to back the phone up and restore it - these are full firmwares, not updates.)

Always wondered how you flashed these, so am I right in thinking that you download the full kdz then using restore select that kdz to restore to?
