No Sound except in call volume

My Verizon S4 sound quit working. I am not using any third party apps to manage volume, nor does Verizon have a blocking mode. Right now, I have no sound--text, email, ringer, haptic feedback, dial tone (when I dial numbers), speaker volume, etc... The only thing that works is in call volume. I did get some sound with headset, but not everything. All volume on the main phone settings is on and turned up. All sound on each individual app, gmail, k-9, text, etc... is also up. Even when I go to change a notification sound, it will not play the preview when touched. I have also rebooted the phone, but not factory reset. This is not my first go around with android, so I am truly lost on this one. Any ideas?
