No sound from speakers

This happened yesterday. I turned up the media volume on a video I was watching and there was no sound. I tried an MP3 in VLC and no sound from the speakers with that either. I plugged my headphones into the jack and got sound that way. Then I rebooted the tablet and sound returned to my speakers.

A bug or a feature?

I'm guessing it's due to some other app you installed causing interference. Always tricky to pinpoint it, though.
