No sound

My Galaxy s4 has been working fine. Tonight I have no sound from ringtones, notifications, etc or, when phone is turned on. I have checked all volume settings and all are on max. I hear fine when making or receiving calls. The phone does not ring, just, vibrates. What do I need to do?

You can close all background applications and check it again....
You tried to restart your phone ?

Did the repair people tell you what was wrong with your phone?

The speaker wire and charging port were bad. My stepson had tried to repair the charging port and did more damage than good to the phone.
