Had a system update a few days ago, I'm on Verizon. I use Textra as my text app. It may be a coincidence, but it seems as if after the update my texts are not coming in. It has happened every day now. I have to restart my phone and they come in right after. Any thoughts?

Try clearing the app cache for Textra in Settings>Apps. If that doesn't help, also consider clearing the app data. (I don't think that will delete any saved conversations, but I can't be entirely sure, since I don't use Textra.)

Thank you, I do believe clearing the data would delete my conversations. I now realize when I switch to google messages I don't get incoming texts either, I can still send.

You can still clear the app cache without losing anything important. That's just temporary data.

Yes, indeed the app was the default app. And yes, I did clear the app cache as well as the partition cache.

@mustang7757, do you think this might have to do with RCS Chat not connecting properly? I'm not sure how Samsung (or Textra) handles RCS.

If RCS wasn't working properly it would just send as a regular text , Textra talked about getting RCS I'm not sure they have but if no issues on Samsung then all things point to Textra and would have to get in contact with them .
