I'm on Verizon and recently found that no one on my plan receives notification that they have a voicemail. My son and I have Note 8's, mother S5 and father Note 2.
We don't subscribe to Verizons visual voicemail. When we had the trial, we were notified of voicemails. About the time the trial ended, that's when notifications stopped.
Is there a setting somewhere I'm missing?
