Nokia 6.1 cracked screen

I don't know how, as I've never knowingly dropped the handset and the thing rarely leaves my house, but just this morning a significant crack has appeared on my Nokia 6.1; from RH top corner transversing across to the LH side to about 1/3 down. Very irritating and the first time I've experienced a broken screen on any smartphone
Apart from that crack, my Nokia 6.1 works just fine.
A fitted replacement is going to cost almost half what I paid for the handset

Try a windshield repair kit. The crack will still be a bit visible, but the screen won't split any further. And it costs a lot less than a screen repair. Clear epoxy may also work. Google cellphone screen repair and you'll find a few youtube videos.

I decided to do the repair properly, and replace the screen. So my 6.1 is going back to Nokia via their Mobile Care facility. Seems reasonably priced compared to other third party options I've explored, and it was easy to set up using their web pages. DHL should be collecting today, let's see how long it all takes

My Nokia 6.1 was returned yesterday (ca. 1 week turnaround) with a nice new shiny screen. I have restored all apps from the backup that I made before shipping, and it's all working fine
