Non-Mobile Contacts in Messages

One thing that has me a bit puzzled about the "Messages" app is that when you go to select a contact by typing in the first characters of the name, it shows non-mobile contacts. I can see how an email address might still be sent to, but not a landline or FAX.

Seems kind of dumb that it shows the non-mobile numbers in the list and there doesn't seem to be a way to stop it from doing that in the settings that I can see.
 
It probably puts landlines and fax numbers in there because to the program, it's just another phone number. I'm guessing it's not checking on the type of number. Or maybe it did, but too many people had mobile numbers entered as fax numbers, so they took it out ;)
