Noob needs some tips

I am new to the android world, so I have never done any of this. I flashed the MikShift ROM onto my phone, everything works great, except I lost my sprint tv. I found the sprint_tv.apk file inside the MikShift folder, but I can't find out how to install it.
i tried just moving the file to the SD card and installing through ASTRO, but it says in can't be installed. Also tried the cmd prompt way, not sure if I did it right, but it didn't seem to work either.

Lots of people talk about installing / uninstalling .apk files all the time, so i'm sure it can't be that difficult, right? Can someone teach me their ways?

I was just wondering the same thing, lost all the sprint apps. The only ones i really want back is the tv and telenav since it stores every address i've ever went to when using the gps over the years.

Edit: Nm, found the evo shift telenav apk so just need the tv now.

You should post in mikes thread on XDA he probably just missed something when he made the apk

I think I have a copy of sprint telenav, but if yours works, could you send me your copy? Maybe mine is wrong for some reason.

Just downloaded the sprint tv apk for the Evo and installed it. Works like a charm.

Thanks but I just installed the apks and they just worked. Glad you got it taken care of though.
