Noob question re: market apps

New owner of G tab and I'm sure this has been discussed a million times ... BUT ... maybe someone will take pity on me and help.

When I try to go to Android Market to get apps to side-load, it blocks me by saying there is not an Android device registered to my Google account. That's true - this is the first Android device I've ever had. But I can't find a way to edit my profile or account to add the G tab.

So what is the secret to downloading apps from the Market for side-load?

Okay, I think I answered my own question. I flashed the tablet with TNT Lite and when I tried to access the Market it prompted me to set up GMail and Framework. I think maybe that did it, but my tablet ran low on battery power and I haven't tried it again yet.

Quite a learning curve for the G tab, especially for those of us who have no Android experience!
