you can either buy an sd card and follow directions in these forums to get cm7 onto the card, or you can buy a nook2android card through amazon.
Simply put the micro sd card into the nook, boot it up, and you'll have a choice to boot to either cm7 or regular nook, no root required.
In a bit of irony, the card that Amazon is selling is now suffering from the same market woes as the regular CM7 installations. :-$

There is a workaround for now but Google is aware of the issue and they say they are working on a fix. As I said before, this is not just a problem for the nook. Acer,toshiba,Huawei forums are also reporting this problem.
The work around is not difficult so I would not worry about it.

Just ordered a refurb NookColor. I'm also going to root mine. Is CM7 the only rom available?
