Nook Color on Sale for $199 today only

Mine arrived today. Ordered a class 10 patriot card--which arrives next week?

I went to staples and got a 4 gb class 4 card to root the device. Gonna try it out tonight. I am thinking about the Auto Nooter route.

Ordered mine two days ago and UPS says "out for delivery" from my local distribution center. A day earlier than expected!

Too bad it'll beat the class 6 microSD card by a couple of days. I plan on rooting this weekend.

Same, I've had my nook since yesterday (ordered it day one of deal), but my card is nowhere in sight :(

all those devices in your sig crack me up, I had a Palm way back when, then the Dell Axim was the coolest thing!

Got mine today, ordered it on the 1st... looks good!

Got mine in today. Pulled an 8gig class 6 card out of another device (thanks, technological redundancy!) and am setting out to make it happen right now. Also, this thing sure doesn't appear to be refurbed - if it was, they did a lot of work making it seem as retail as possible!

Mine just got delivered 5 mins ago and its charging now. Not refurbed is a brand new unit. Gonna read up later and root it.

I would recommend the monster root pack from thecubed over on XDA. Burn the img toan sd card, boot and flash. Easy and works great.

Mine came yesterday. New, now charged, registered and played with it just a little. All I had time for yesterday.

Yes . . . Well some habits are hard to break. And this one only hurts my wallet. :D (Hence the name 'aviduser'.) I am sure that many on the boards here don't even know what half of those devices are. Funny thing is, the Palm devices did certain basic things--like calendar and contacts--better than all the fancy new-fangled phones out there--Android and iPhone included.

Don't get me wrong, I really like my Nexus One and (so far) my NookColor. But there were lessons that Palm learned that others would benefit from.

Cheers,

aviduser

ps: your post reminded me that I need to update my sig!
