Not getting edge notifications

I have configured the AT&T edge to give me all sorts of stuff on the edge, but only the night clock ever shows up. The side favorite contacts works. I have set it for email, text, etc, notifications, some news and some stock quotes, but the night clock is the only thing seen.

Any suggestions?

if you see the night clock, you have to swipe up/down to see the other "edges". I'm not sure if it automatically pops up if you "missed" a notification. I haven't seen that yet.

Ah HA! Rub the edge back and forth several times.
