Not recognizing URLs or phone numbers

I'm pretty new to my Moto X so I'm sure there's a setting or something somewhere, but I haven't found it yet. The Moto isn't recognizing web addresses or phone numbers like the iphone does. When I long press it brings up the copy/paste/share popup. It does however recognize physical street addresses on a long-press and takes me to Waze which I set as an 'always' occurence.
