3rd party launcher not working with new gestures Google has. It's working on my 1+7 pro on Android 10 but it's not beta and has a glitch every once in awhile .

Try swiping in diagonally from the bottom edge. Like from the outer most bottom right corner toward the middle of the screen. Not sure if I'm explaining it well. That pulls up assistant for me.

Yeah, I'm doing exactly that, but it's doing the same thing as if I just swiped directly up - just showing me recent apps to scroll thru. Was there any other settings you had to mess with? I have gestures enabled, no software buttons at the bottom. There's simply no response to the diagonal swipe.

Do you have the "swipe from bottom" gestures enabled or the "swipe from sides and bottom" gestures?

I think I figured it out. Does it only work on One UI launcher? I've been using CPL launcher, it's my favorite. I switched back to One UI and I was able to tweak the gesture settings. But when I switch back to CPL, the gesture settings get reset, and I can't access it that way. That's a bummer. But I guess it doesn't matter because I notice that the variant of Google Assistant that is activated by that method is still missing the "share screenshot" option. It's not the same as long pressing the home button

Yeah, gestures don't work correctly with launchers right now. Not sure when/if it's gonna be fixed.

It also doesn't have the "share screenshot" option that's there when you long press home, so it's all for nothing for now. It's the same Assistant I get when I double press bixby. Not a huge deal I guess, but I love sharing screenshots without having to actually take a screenshot first.

I thought it was an odd decision to hide the sides and bottom gestures behind a "more options" menu in the settings.

I know see what everyone is talking about with the gestures. I have only been using the swipe from the bottom which has been buttery smooth. The side gestures are too buggy even if it does add assistant. Guess I can't have it all sigh.

My biggest issue with the sides and bottom gestures are pulling up recents is buggy. I'm not having trouble with swiping from the sides to go back. I love that gesture.

Nice! Just got an alert that an app I haven't used in a while pinged my location. Changed to only while using the app.

Maybe b/c you can grant more granular permissions on Android 10? Is the same app asking multiple times?

When you go to Navigation Bar in settings click more options. They're there.

Settings>Display>Navigation bar>More options
