Note 10/+ gripes

Yes, correct re pro mode for slow shutter speed, but you can't get the shutter very slow in daylight because of limited aperture settings (i.e. only f1.5 and f2 4).

also on the Note 8 there were action/sports modes that handle the action of children or whatever. take a look around in the app for downloads.

Haha.. Only one other Note has a special place bc it was my first..

Very nice!

Mine works flawlessly
My FPS works 99% of the time so far but is really slow. I kind of wish Samsung would have used an optical scanner instead of the ultrasonic sensor...

My only real gripe is not having all colors and storage combinations available at launch.

My gripe right now is that they don't have all the ringtones as my n9 has. There's this one particular one that they had that I used for my banking Apps. Everytime my notification went off it sounded like change rattling. Makes me feel like I actually have money everyday. Lol

I learned to use the FPS better now.
If I press firmly and immediately let go it works as fast as my Note 8.

Ok I see people's problems setting up their phones but teething problems aside do you have any gripes or are you missing any features from previous phones???

I have one gripe and that's the notification LED, I miss that very much and I hope we get some sort of update that give us that ring around the front cam to light up
I know there are apps that try to do this but they seem to quit after initial notification.

AODnotify gives you an led light ring around the camera.

I don't like that I have to press the side button in order to wake my phone up so the fingerprint sensor works. I want to just be able to pick it up, and have it open

Try to locate it on Zedge

Can't find them anywhere. I know what your talking about but don't seem to exist any more.

You have a few options.

The cheapest and easiest would be to take the waterfall photo in the morning or evening with little light outside so you can take a longer exposure.

You could buy a clip on neutral density (ND) filter. This blocks out light without affecting the color balance, allowing you to take longer exposures in brighter light. Easy, but there is the added cost and filter to keep track of.

You could take a bunch of photos in a row (I.e. On burst mode), then make a composite that averages them out. Individually, each photo is exposed correctly and the water appears frozen. Doing an average composite will combine all the photos and the water will take on that silly smooth long exposure effect. This is more manually intensive as you'll have to edit your photos. I'm not sure if any Android apps have this ability, but GIMP on pc does and it's free. If you buy something like Photoshop, I think it has an automated way of doing this.

In all cases, make sure you use a tripod or otherwise prop up the phone. For the longer exposure option, this prevents camera shake and blurring. For the composite option, it makes sure the scene is framed exactly the same in every photo so you don't waste time trying to line up the photos during editing.
