Note 10/+ gripes

My biggest gripe is that the screen is curved, would've loved a flat display.
I agree with you there, but interestingly, I'm not having issues with the 10+ and touching the curves and activating unwanted things like I did my Note 8. I compared them and they look pretty much the same, but yet they're different somehow.

I got the navigation bar handled. had to switch my button order to make it work for me. thanks!

Backwards Samsung, that's why. It's one of the first things I change.

As for your brightness level, when you swipe and see your brightness level toggle - do you see a little down arrow to the right of the bar? If so, click that to drop down and see the toggles the person was showing.

thanks, but that's the problem. I don't see the brightness indicator at all when I swipe my panel. I have to go into settings, display to make any changes which is really tedious and there's noting in settings to allow me to have it on my panel.

I'm going to set something up through BR to handle it when I go outside because I don't like to let Samsung handle it inside, and I won't remember to go to settings, display before I go outside. I'll be looking at a dark screen.

Do you see your brightness control if you swipe down twice?

Only two minor gripes so far, and if there are solutions to them then I'll have zero gripes. Still think this phone is fantastic:

1) Setting AOD, there's no option to invert colors like there used to be on my Note 8. I like a nice clean line drawing on my AOD, with a black background so it's all unobtrusive. Now it's more steps to make that happen if I download something with a white background.

2) I keep getting the notification that my clock/weather widget is using battery. Yeah, I know. I'm not going to keep it from updating. It keeps reminding me anyway.

The stock clock and weather? Not a single warning on mine. Clock should not be causing battery warning. That is not normal.

yes. and I don't have that screen access when I go to brightness. all I have is a place to adjust brightness. I have an unlocked device. is that why?

It's possible. I have the Verizon version.

and I have my navigation bar setup exactly that way, except for the gesture hints, and when I'm in an app, as mentioned, if there is no navigation arrow in the app itself, or the screen in settings, I have no way to go back. is there a way I don't know about? thanks for the help!

That I'm not sure about. If I go back in certain apps, it exits the app, or logs out.

thank you! that's exactly what it took. I hadn't swiped down twice for any reason. my 10+ is now, with this final thing, absolutely perfect with zero gripes. many many many thanks!
Adding to that, if you swipe down with two fingers at the same time on the status bar, you bypass the first swipe and it takes you all the way to the bottom.

thank you! did not know that.

can you tell me please, when I swipe up from the bottom to close apps, I see four icons at the bottom in between the apps available to close and the bottom of the screen, is there any way to change or remove those? I'm using Apex Pro if it makes a difference, but I get the feeling it's a Samsung or Google thing.

When you swipe up, look at the upper right corner, you'll see a 3 dot menu, tap it and tap settings. You'll be able to turn off suggested apps there.

one teeny teeny gripe... just to register it. now that they have done away with the headphone jack I have no way to connect to my car audio for navigation and must now search for a, possibly, substandard aux or bluetooth connector since one wasn't included in the box. having taken it away, the least they could do is include a usb-c to aux connector for those of us without bluetooth in auto. jmo, probably not valid.

Love my Note 10+ but..... am I no longer able to utilize the Samsung Health functions such as "Heart Rate" and "Stress"? Used mine on a daily basis on my Note 9. Any ideas on how to turn on functionality would be greatly appreciated!
