Note 2 Charging Issue

Today when I was charging the Note 2, after I plug the USB charger cable to the phone, the phone started to charge. But after a few minutes, I tried to turn the screen on but couldn't. But the red led indicator light at the top left corner of the phone was on, meaning it was charging. What is the problem that I cannot turn on the phone?

Welcome to Android Central! How low was the battery when you plugged it in? Let it charge on a wall outlet undisturbed for at least 6 hours, then press and hold Power for 10-15 seconds to see if it turns on.

Thanks. I will leave it charged for 6 hours. But I just realised that the issue doesn't only happen when it is charging. I switched on the phone when it wasn't charging, the battery was 32%, so I left it on. But after a few minutes, the phone was off again. Is it because of the battery?

It could be a failing battery. It's still worth charging up to 100% if you can, and see if it shuts off too quickly.
