Note 2: Sluggish and slow after 4.3 update

Anyone else noticing a really drastic change in how the phone operates since updating?

I find my Note 2 so sluggish and slow to respond along with being somewhat choppy since updating.

It used to be much more fluent.

Have you cleared cache in recovery?

Here you go. It doesn't matter that it's from T-Mobile--it should be good for any Note 2.

Thanks, I also downloaded clean master and it has made a noticeable difference. Will it do the same as these steps or should I follow these steps too?

Sorry about not responding. I was having issues with one of my devices and just went dark on the forums.

Clean Master won't clear the system cache partition, so it's still worth doing.

My note 2 is also stupidly slow now. I was hoping it would get better but if anything it's getting worse. I don't think I'll ever buy another Samsung in my life. I HATE this phone now. Hate it.

Welcome to Android Central! Sorry to hear your phone isn't working well. Is it still slow after the cache partition wipe?

I am feeling the same and wondering if I can go back to the original state. Update is not always a good thing to do....

Do a clean wipe. I've done this with 4.3 and I did it again with 4.4. In both instances the difference is dramatic. It's a pain, but it's well worth it. It made my phone feel like brand new. Backup first though.

Hi, i have cleared the cache like you suggested and I have previously done a complete system reset. It didn't help at all. My phone is still slow and sluggish. Is there anything else to do to fix it?

Mine is very sluggish too and clearing the cache doesn't help. You just have to learn to live with it! The updates were released too encourage you to buy a new Note 3 or note 4.

Along with poor cable connector and the phone not charging properly, Samsung software crashing and now slow performance for months now, I will definitely not be getting another Samsung
