Note 20 Ultra pre-order thread!

Yeah, it probably was your older SD Card. Newer ones can record 4K video on microSD cards, but they're costly. That's why I just ordered the 512GB Note 20 Ultra so I won't have to deal with microSD cards.
It was kind of weird to me, because the SD card was the ones that came out with the Note8, from Samsung. I would have thought they should have been compatible.

I'm on the OG Galaxy Watch, and I am also hesitant to get the Watch 3 because of this. It's ashamed they took out one of their best features.

I understand it's not AS important to have now than it was years ago but it's always a great emergency fallback in case you need it. I especially love the times I have used it and the cashier is adamant that it wouldn't work but yet it did.

Couple quick questions...

I pre-ordered through Samsung, with the trade-in option. What do you have to send back to Samsung? Just the old phone, right? If it's a Note device, do I have to send the SPens too?

Also, if you're in the US, is the Unlocked version using the Exynos processor? I am asking for clarification, because I know in a few years past, the unlocked devices weren't using the SD processors. Usually the unlocked/carrier compatibility issue was what held me back for grabbing them, but this time around, the processor would definitely stop me from getting the unlocked.

I have the Whitestone Dome screen protector coming. Does anyone know if the cases from dbrand is compatible with the Whitestone Dome for other devices?

US Unlocked devices have always been using Snapdragon processors. The carrier models and US unlocked models are all same hardware and only differ in firmware. US unlocked models have the firmware as Samsung intended and carrier models have the firmware as useless carriers intended with all their bloat and carrier boot logos. Sure you can still buy international unlocked models here which will be sold by third party sellers on eBay, amazon and other places but the official US unlocked model always had the same hardware as carrier models which is snapdragon most years. That’s why you got to be careful if you are buying from third party sellers on Amazon, eBay etc since the international models sometimes will be lesser in price and people who aren’t aware of the differences buy without knowing the actual model number and later complain.

For trade in, yeah you would have to send just the phone but to be safe i would send s-pen as well since it’s part of the phone

Can they ever just sell the protectors without the light for a discount? I have 3 of the uv lights already..

You can order directly from whitestone dome website to get one w/o uv light. I used code NOTE20 for 20%off.

Don't get me started on that. It's a topic for it's own thread. In short, everyone should know about contactless payments by now.

I had an unlocked S7 Edge when the Note7 had to go back, and I could've swore it was on the Exynos. Thank you for the info!

At least from the time Samsung started selling US unlocked officially in the US the carrier models and US unlocked models have same hardware. When ever that was since hard to keep track lol.

But it’s an open market and you will find both US (snapdragon) and international (exynos) unlocked available especially in places like amazon, swappa, eBay etc. So you got to be careful in making sure you are buying right model if you are buying from places like that. If you are buying direct from Samsung.com then it’s much easier and don’t have to worry.

Yeah, it was the Olympic edition. I had to send it back because it was the Exynos and I didn't know enough at the time to try to flash it with AT&T firmware for the Wi-fi calling.

What's the best deal I can get with trading in my note 8 on verizon?

I thought it saw Verizon offering $200 or something.

The only thing I saw when pre-ordering was trading in for either 500 or 550 or getting a 2nd phone/line. I thought I saw somewhere that they have a 150 dollar credit that you can apply for when you get the phone, activate it and go onto the Samsung app on the phone

Verizon already took my money out of my bank account. There's not way I'll get it until August 20 at the earliest.

Wasn't planning on it, but couldn't pass it up

This is what I'm looking for. I have the note 10 plus to trade in. Who did you do this transaction with? And what is the refund portion at the bottom? Great final price!
